Public Relations Professionals
Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO) is a
professional organization that fosters an interest in the public
relations field; encourages professional development for those
employed in the public relations field; maintains a high degree
of standards and ethics in the performance of public relations
tasks; offers instruction for accreditation. ECPRO was formed in 1992 and is a member of the

ECPRO members are civic minded and contribute to the local community in a number of ways. One of the organization’s main endeavors is the sponsorship of the Student Public Relations and Media Competition for students in Okaloosa and Walton counties. A foundation has been established to accept tax deductible donations/sponsorships. For more information about the competition

The cost of membership dues has been raised to $85 per year due to a raise in our SPRF dues.

Announcements
Congratulations to Sabrina McLaughlin, APR, InSight Marketing Communications, and her staff for the great showing at the Lantern Awards competition at the Southern Public Relations Federation annual conference. Insight was the most decorated entrant in the 2009 competition taking home four Lanterns, two Awards of Excellence and one Certificate of Merit. In the center photo, President Kathy Newby presented ECPRO member Gail Waller with a certificate acknowledging her recognition as a Senior Practitioner by the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF). The announcement was made at the annual SPRF Conference held in Tunica, MS.
