Formed in 1992, the Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO) is a professional organization that fosters an interest in the public relations field; encourages professional development for those employed in the public relations field; maintains a high degree of standards and ethics in the performance of public relations tasks; and offers instruction. ECPRO is a member of the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF).

The Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO) chapter would like to welcome you to our meetings, which are held on the second Tuesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. ECPRO members are employed in a wide variety of fields including public relations, marketing, advertising and the media. Anyone involved in the art of communication will benefit from the ECPRO experience!

Marketing Your Brand with Skip Orth

Join Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO)’s June Lunch & Learn featuring guest speaker, Skip Orth, who will give a presentation on effectively marketing your brand.

Skip Orth is an entrepreneur who has started several businesses and is currently the owner and CEO of Father and Son Pest and Lawn Solutions, a multi-million-dollar lawn and pest business in Northwest Florida.

Members are asked to bring door prizes for the meeting. A 50/50 drawing is held at each meeting, so bring some cash. Funds from the drawings go toward scholarships for local high school students.

Please bring business cards for networking and a door prize from your business if you can. Members and guests are allowed to present announcements concerning special programs or news about their business. Announcements are $1 for members and $2 for non-members.

Join ECPRO and get involved with a network of PR professionals from this area. Our members work in a variety of jobs, including non-profits, healthcare, financial, advertising, communications, military support, and more. Our meetings are educational and fun. Attend a meeting and meet new friends who share similar work experiences although their jobs vary.

ECPRF Scholarship Application Deadline Extended to March 30

Emerald Coast Public Relations Foundation (ECPRF) has extended its 2024 college scholarship application deadline to March 30! The Foundation is awarding two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors planning to pursue a college degree in the areas of public relations, communication, marketing or journalism.

ECPRO Announces 2024 Board of Directors

On February 13, 2024, the members of the Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO) voted for members for positions on the 2024 Board of Directors. The organization congratulates incoming President and Programs Chair, Joshua Bugby, currently serving as the Director of Development at Children in Crisis, a 501(c)3 non-profit headquartered in Fort Walton Beach.

ECPRO Establishes the Annual Ken Hair Award to Recognize Non-Profit Leadership

At the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce’s First Friday Coffee on December 1, ECPRO awarded board member, Ken Hair, MBA, APR with the inaugural Ken Hair Award to commemorate his dedicated service to our community in his non-profit leadership roles over the years.
